ADSL & ADSL2+

Speed
Reliability
Cost

ADSL was the next generation of connectivity after dial-up. It offers improved speed/performance and a split in line allowing simultaneous broadband and telephone connections. ADSL2+ is the most recent branch of this technology, offering considerably faster connections.

ADSL connection can use copper telephone lines or coaxial cable. As upgrading data cabling in Central London can be complicated due to congested infrastructure, most of Central London broadband connections are still based on ADSL. If faster and more reliable connection is required, wherever possible we recommend looking at FFTC or Leased Line options.

Fibre Broadband (FTTC)

Speed
Reliability
Cost

FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) uses different type of cable which comprises of thousands of individual fibres as thin as human hair. Information is carried over as light photons. It is universally believed that speed of light is the highest speed achievable in universe. This means broadband connections based on light are much faster and much more reliable than ADSL.

By definition FTTC implies that fibre is used to connect cabinet to the internet, but quite often “last mile” connection from the cabinet to the end destination still relies on copper or coaxial cables.

Leased Line

Speed
Reliability
Cost

Where reliable and fast internet connection is critical for business, we recommend installing a leased line.

A leased line is a private line that gives you access to the internet, with guaranteed upload and download speeds. Bandwidth is not shared at exchange and ultra-low latency makes it the natural choice for financial trading applications, VoIP call-centres and top-quality video conferencing.

CL Bond

Connecting London Bond (CL Bond) is a technology designed to radically improve the performance and resilience of internet connections. It enables to bond together multiple broadband lines to achieve:

Reduced Downtime Risk

If one or few of bonded lines fail, although slower, but connectivity is still sustained. Failover is possible even with 3G/4G lines.

Combined Download and Upload Speeds

Where faster broadband options are not available or too costly, CL Bond is the next best option to increase data transfer speeds.

Expandable

Your broadband can grow with your business. Add additional lines to further improve resilience and speeds.

Phone Lines (PSTN)

Traditional telephone copper lines are still a core requirement for ADSL or FTTC broadband service to function. In the context of broadband it can be considered as the actual cabling required for the internet to run through.
